An Explanation of Paper Sizes in the UK
Paper sheet sizes follow a standard system in the UK. The sizes are in numerical order and are preceded by a letter A for the most common sizes
The only countries in the world that don't use A sizes are the USA, Canada, Mexico and the Dominican Republic
The most common set are the A sizes.
These start at A1 and go down to A10. A6 is a standard postcard so you can imagine how small A10 is!
The easiest way to imagine the size of paper is to take A4 which is standard printer paper size - A3 will be the same as two pieces of A4 put together and A5 would be the same as the A4 sheet folded in half.
The smaller the number, the larger the paper sheet size.
We stock recycled paper in sizes from A1 to A6 , but if you want another size we have the capability in house to cut so please give us call on 01273 682831.
